The documentary portrays five people who try to recover from alcoholism or from the abusive use of substances. The different narratives show various aspects of the addictions: there is an artist who stopped drinking without the Alcoholics Anonymous’ help; a man who has been sober for 23 years and helps people in recovery; a woman who has been admitted to a clinic; a retired man who still needs to overcome his addiction; and a recovered man who lives in the outskirts of Rio de Janeiro.
