The documentary shows the journey of the great Brazilian filmmaker Nelson Pereira dos Santos (1928-2018), one of the most revered in the country, whose talent crossed borders and won important international awards. More than 80 hours of archival recordings were gathered to select the director’s images, films and interviews. In the documentary, accounts of his personal life, his creative process and also the success he achieved over a 60-year career that includes essential films of national cinema, such as “Barren Lives” (1963), “O Amuleto de Ogum” (1974) and “Memórias do Cárcere” (1984).
