A Starry Sky (1996)

Sobre o filme

Mooca, a working-class neighborhood in the southern zone of Greater São Paulo. Dalva, a young hairdresser, lives with her mother, a domineering and almost oppressive woman, in one of the modest houses in the area. She has just won a trip to Miami in a hairstyling contest and sees the prize as her chance to change—her neighborhood, her city, her life, at last. However, Dalva still doesn’t know how to break the news to her mother. As she packs her bags and tries to find a way out, Vítor, her ex-fiancé, knocks on the door. He wants to return a few things. Abandoned by Dalva, Vítor quit his job and seems to have lost his mind. Once inside the house, he begins to act aggressively, as if this were his last chance to win her back—even by force.
