On the eve of her 65th birthday, Dolores has a premonition: her life is about to change. She will own a successful casino. But her past gambling addiction could work against her. Deborah, her only daughter, awaits her boyfriend’s release from prison to start a new life, while Duda, Dolores’s granddaughter, seizes an opportunity to work in the United States. The three women try to make their dreams of a better life a reality, going for all or nothing. “Dolores” is based on a script left by filmmaker Chico Teixeira, who passed away in 2019. The film was planned as the conclusion of his Trilogy of Affections, also composed of “Alice’s House” (2007, 31st Mostra) and “Absence” (2014, 38th Mostra).
