The life and career of Spanish soprano Montserrat Caballé, designated by Maria Callas as her successor. The film includes statements by people who are part of the life and career of the singer such as Claudio Abbado, Giuseppe Di Stefano, Plácido Domingo, Renée Fleming, Ioan Hollender, Marilyn Horne, Joan Matabosch, Frederico Mayor Zaragoza, Zubin Mehta, Terenci Moix, amongst others. In addition, the film shows the most significant sites in her trajectory, from native Barcelona to the Carnegie Hall in New York where she gained international renown, and on to the largest and most beautiful theaters in Europe. The film includes passages from famous operas such as ‘Norma’, ‘Tosca’ (in a Japanese production), ‘Turandot’, ‘Salomé’, and a new opera, ‘Ana Boleyn’, 1966, the first known audiovisual by the soprano.
