Sobre o filme
Meir and Rivka have been married for ten years. They love each other but suffer for not having children, and this becomes a source of conflict within their community. The rabbi decrees: in order to maintain his family line, the husband needs to reject Rivka and marry Haya, who can bear him children. The rabbi also decides that Rivka’ sister, Malka, should marry Yossef, his dedicated helper. Malka, however, is in love with Yaakov, a young singer who left the community to pursue a career. She is determined to fight for her love and freedom.
