In 2005, the choreographer Angelin Preljocaj goes to Cologne in the studios of Karlheinz Stockhausen. The composer wants him to listen to his latest work, Sonntags Abschied, and wishes to entrust it to him. Seduced, the choreographer accepts this second foray into the work of the German composer, who had already inspired Helikopter in 2001. This mystical score inspires the choreographer with the idea of a lost paradise. Olivier Assayas attempts to reveal the secrets of creation by shooting the moments of joy and anguish of this ambitious piece.
