Born in Isfahan, Iran, in 1978. Graduated in Persian literature, Motamedi has a 20-year career as a writer, poet, film critic and screenwriter — he has signed over 20 scripts for films and TV series. His debut feature film as director, Reza (2018), was presented at 42nd Mostra. Won’t You Cry? is his second feature film.
