Born in the United States, in 1977. He graduated in film studies from Harvard University, became a professor and free-lance writer, and worked as a shop assistant in a bookstore. He made the feature films Funny Ha Ha (2002), Mutual Appreciation (2005, 30th Mostra), Beeswax (2009), Computer Chess (2013), Results (2015) and Support the Girls (2018), presented at film festivals such as Sundance and South by Southwest.
