He is a Portuguese director, born in Angola. He graduated in film studies by ESTC in Lisbon, as well as in English literature. He made short films such as The Flesh (2010), awarded at IndieLisboa, Versailles (2013), presented at Locarno Film Festival; and Goodnight, Cinderella (2014) and Bad Bunny (2017), premiered in competition at Cannes. He directed the feature films Serpentarius (2019), presented at the Forum section at Berlin Film Festival; and Name Above Title (2020).
