She is a visual artist and filmmaker from Spain, holding a PhD in Audiovisual Communication. She made the short films "Pueblo" (2015), premiered at the Directors’ Fortnight at the Cannes Film Festival; "The Entrails" (2016), selected at the Locarno Film Festival; and "Los que Desean" (2018), which won the Pardino d’Oro at the Locarno Film Festival. "El Agua" is her feature film debut.
