Born in Almaty, Kazakhstan, in 1983. He studied filmmaking at the Kazakh National Academy of Arts and at the New York Film Academy. He made, among others, the features "The Tale of a Pink Hare" (2010), "4+1" (2016), "The Secret of a Leader" (2018), and "18 Khz" (2020), Warsaw Grand Prix winner, and presented at the 45th Mostra.
