He is a Brazilian filmmaker born in Bogota, Colombia. He lives in Rio de Janeiro, where he also works as a philosopher, professor, as well as a screenwriter and an essayist. He directed the short film O Dia de São Jorge (2006) and wrote the television series Cinema Novo - A Aventura da Criação (2016), besides writing the screenplay of Cinema Novo (2016, 40th Mostra), by Eryk Rocha. He directed the feature films Estado de Exceção (2012) and Let’s Play Jazz (2014).
