Juliana Vicente is a director, screenwriter, producer, and founder of Preta Portê Filmes. She began her career with the short film "Cores e Bota" (2010), which was screened worldwide in over 100 festivals. She was part of the Berlinale Talents (2015) at the Berlin International Film Festival, the same year she was awarded for the co-production of "La tierra y la sombra" at the Cannes Film Festival. She is the creator and director of the series "Afronta!" (2017), currently available on Netflix. She directed the music video "Marighella" by Racionais MCs, which won Best Music Video of the Year at the MTV Video Music Brasil (VMB) in 2012. She directed the 13th season of the series "Espelho" by Lázaro Ramos (Canal Brasil, 2018). In 2022, she released two feature films: the documentary "Diálogos com Ruth de Souza", and "Racionais: From the Streets of São Paulo to the World".
