Born in Medellín, Colombia in 1981. She graduated from film school in Melbourne, Australia. Whilst there, she directed two award-winning short films: West (2004) and Brotherhood (2007). In 2012 she co-directed with Carlos Moreno more than 35 episodes of the award winning TV series Pablo Escobar, The Drug Lord (2012). She made the feature films Antes del Fuego (2015) and Killing Jesus (2017).
