Born in Nazareth in 1970. She graduated from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in English and Arabic literature. She worked as an artistic designer in productions like "The Time That Remains" (2009) by Elia Suleiman, and "The Attack" (2012) by Ziad Douairi. She directed the short films "Oranges" (2009) and "Behind These Walls" (2010), and the feature film "Personal Affairs" (2016), presented in the Un Certain Regard section at the Cannes Film Festival.
