She is a Cuban producer, director and screenwriter, naturalized Brazilian. Since 1995, she has run the producing company Bucanero Filmes. Her films as a director have received many national and international awards. As an executive producer, she has worked in over ten films. Since the year 2000, she is the artistic director at Cine Ceará - Ibero-American Film Festival.
