Both were born in Belgium in 1987. Olivia is a director and cinematographer. Gerard-Jan is a filmmaker, lecturer and author. Together they founded the online film magazine Sabzian and Avila, a film distributor and online video platform for Belgian cinema. They directed the documentaries "Because We Are Visual" (2010), "Rain" (2012), "Grands Travaux" (2016) and "Mitten" (2019).
