Born in Reading, England in 1973. He directed the short film Bubblegum (1996). He also founded the music-culinary group The Sonic Catering Band. He now lives in Hungary, where he teaches English. Katalin Varga (2009), his first feature film, was presented at 33rd Mostra. After that, he directed feature films such as Berberian Sound Studio (2012), The Duke of Burgundy (2014) and In Fabric (2018), presented and awarded in film festivals like Locarno, San Sebastián, Berlin, BAFICI and London.
