Born in Tehran, Iran, in 1989. After graduating from Soore University with a Bachelor in Cinematography, Roustaee made his directorial debut in 2011 with the short film "Monday". He also directed three more shorts and the feature films "Life and a Day" (2016) and "Just 6.5" (2019, 43rd Mostra), presented at Venice Film Festival.
