Born in Tehran, Iran, in 1976. He graduated from the Tehran University in theater directing, and started his career as a theater actor. In 1996, he started working in the Iranian state TV. He directed the features Wednesday, May 9 (2015) and No Date, no Signature (2017, 41st Mostra), winner of the Best Director Award at the Horizons section at Venice Film Festival.
