Born in Tehran, Iran, in 1976. He graduated from the Tehran University in theater directing, and started his career as a theater actor. In 1996, he started working in the Iranian state TV. He directed the features "Wednesday, May 9" (2015) and "No Date, no Signature" (2017, 41st Mostra), winner of the Best Director Award at the Horizons section at Venice Film Festival.
