Véréna was born in Neuchâtel, Switzerland. Lucien was born in Liverpool, England. The partnership between them resulted in documentaries, such as Leviathan (2012), winner of the FIPRESCI Prize at the Locarno Film Festival, Somniloquies (2017) and Caniba (41st Mostra), winner of the Special Jury Prize at Venice. Recently, their work joined the permanent collections of the Museum such as the MoMA, the British Museum, and has been exhibited at Tate Modern in London, Withney Museum, Centre Pompidou and Berlin Kunsthalle.
