Born in Rome, in 1949, and graduated in philosophy. She is a director and screenwriter who has directed documentaries and feature films of fiction. She directed her first feature film, "Ambrogio", in 1992. Her film "My Generation" (1996) was selected to represent Italy for the Oscar. In 2018, her documentary "Arrivederci Saigon" was presented at the Venice Film Festival.
